Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain

#::3:.8 #::3-..:7 () हि २ 7 षष्टर्याधिकशततमो< ध्याय: पाण्डवोंका आर्टशिषेणके आश्रमपर निवास, द्रौपदीके अनुरोधसे भीमसेनका पर्वतके शिखरपर जाना और यक्षों तथा राक्षसोंसे युद्ध करके मणिमान्‌का वध करना जनमेजय उवाच आर्डिषेणाश्रमे तस्मिन्‌ मम पूर्वपितामहा: । पाण्डो: पुत्रा महात्मान: सर्वे दिव्यपराक्रमा:,जनमेजयने पूछा--ब्रह्मन! गन्धमादन पर्वतपर आर्टिषेणके आश्रममें मेरे समस्त पूर्वपितामह दिव्य पराक्रमी महामना पाण्डव कितने समयतक रहे? वे सभी महान्‌ पराक्रमी और अत्यन्त बल-पौरुषसे सम्पन्न थे। वहाँ रहकर उन्होंने क्या किया?

janamejaya uvāca |

ārtiṣeṇāśrame tasmin mama pūrvapitāmahāḥ |

pāṇḍoḥ putrā mahātmānaḥ sarve divyaparākramāḥ ||

Janamejaya said: “O Brahmin, when my forefathers—the sons of Pāṇḍu, all high-souled and endowed with divine prowess—were staying in that hermitage of Ārtiṣeṇa, what length of time did they remain there? And what did they do while dwelling in that place?”
