Saubha-ākhyāna: Śālva’s Approach and the Fortification of Dvārakā (सौभाख्यानम्—द्वारकायाः सुरक्षाविधानम्)
āśvasadhvaṁ na bhīḥ kāryā saubharāḍ adya naśyati | mayābhipanno duṣṭātmā saśaubho vinaśiṣyati ||
Vāyu said: “Take heart; do not give way to fear. Today the lord of Saubha is being destroyed. That wicked-souled Śālva, once confronted by me, will perish together with the Saubha aerial city.”
Do not succumb to fear when righteousness is protected by higher support; steadiness and courage are appropriate when destructive, wicked forces are being checked and brought to an end.
Vāyu reassures the listeners that Śālva—the ruler of the Saubha aerial city—has come under divine opposition; as a result, Śālva will be destroyed along with Saubha, so there is no need for panic.
