वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ordered conduct (kramaśaḥ) and the idea of śaraṇya—places and conditions that provide refuge. Even in hardship, the dharmic person proceeds with discipline and recognizes sanctuaries that nurture the mind and heart.
During their forest life, the Pāṇḍavas, feeling uplifted, enter an auspicious, sheltering forest in an orderly sequence. The narrator emphasizes the forest’s capacity to delight and protect.
