Gandhamādana-nivāsaḥ — Draupadyāḥ prārthanā, Bhīmasenārohaṇaṃ, Maṇimāna-yuddham
Chapter 157: Draupadi’s request, Bhima’s ascent, and the combat with Maniman
tadanantaraṁ rājā yudhiṣṭhireṇa vā āśarīrā vāṇī svīkṛtā, punaś ca nara-nārāyaṇāśramaṁ pratyāgatya bhīmasenādibhiḥ sarvair bhrātṛbhiḥ draupadyā saha tatraiva nyavasat. tadā saha-āgatā brāhmaṇā api tatraiva sukhena nyavasan.
Thereafter King Yudhiṣṭhira accepted the heavenly voice. Then, returning again to the hermitage of Nara and Nārāyaṇa, he stayed there with all his brothers—beginning with Bhīmasena—and with Draupadī. The brāhmaṇas who had come along also lived there happily.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
To accept higher counsel with humility and to choose a dharmic refuge: Yudhiṣṭhira responds to a divine message by returning to a sacred hermitage and sustaining his companions, showing that righteous leadership includes obedience to moral-spiritual guidance and care for dependents.
After a heavenly voice is heard, Yudhiṣṭhira accepts it and returns with his brothers and Draupadī to the Nara-Nārāyaṇa hermitage, where they reside; the accompanying brāhmaṇas also remain there contentedly.
