Vaiśampāyana said: “In due order, with each place distinguished by its proper sequence, all the sacred sites were shown—O best of the twice-born—by the great-souled Lomāśa.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharmic discipline in pilgrimage: sacred places are to be approached in proper sequence and with attentive discernment, under the guidance of a wise and noble teacher.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the sage Lomāśa, acting as guide, has been showing the group all the holy sites one by one, carefully distinguishing each place in its proper order.
