सद्रुमं कदलीषण्डं छादयन्नमितद्युति: । गिरेश्लोच्छूयमाक्रम्य तस्थौ तत्र च वानर:,उन्होंने अपने भाईका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे अत्यन्त विशाल शरीर धारण किया। उनका शरीर लंबाई, चौड़ाई और ऊँचाईमें बहुत बड़ा हो गया। वे अमित तेजस्वी वानरवीर वृक्षोंसहित समूचे कदलीवनको आच्छादित करते हुए गन्धमादन पर्वतकी ऊँचाईको भी लाँघकर वहाँ खड़े हो गये
sadrumaṃ kadalīṣaṇḍaṃ chādayann amitadyutiḥ | gireś locchūyam ākramya tasthau tatra ca vānaraḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: The mighty, radiant monkey-hero expanded himself so greatly that he covered the entire banana-grove along with its trees. Striding beyond the mountain’s lofty height, he came to a halt there—an act driven by the resolve to accomplish what would please his brother, displaying strength placed in the service of kinship and duty.
