वेदाचारविधानोक्तिर्यज्नैर्धार्यन्ति देवता: । बृहस्पत्युशन:प्रोक्तैर्नयैर्धार्यन्ति मानवा:,वेदोक्त आचारके विधानसे बतलाये हुए यज्ञोंद्वारा देवतवाओंकी आजीविका चलती है और बृहस्पति तथा शुक्राचार्यकी कही हुई नीतियाँ मनुष्योंके जीवन-निर्वाहकी आधारभूमि हैं

Vaiśaṃpāyana said: By the sacrifices enjoined according to the codes of conduct taught in the Vedas, the gods are sustained. And by the principles of polity and right counsel proclaimed by Bṛhaspati and Uśanas (Śukrācārya), human beings are upheld in their livelihood and order.
