उच्चिक्षेप पुनर्दोर्भ्यामिन्द्रायुधमिवोच्छितम् । नोद्धर्तुमशकद् भीमो दोर्भ्यामपि महाबल:
uccikṣepa punar dorbhyām indrāyudham ivocchitam | noddhartum aśakad bhīmo dorbhyām api mahābalaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Again he heaved it up with both arms, towering aloft like Indra’s rainbow; yet even Bhīma—though of immense strength—was unable to lift it up with his two arms.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the limits of brute strength: even the mightiest hero can meet an obstacle that cannot be overcome by force alone, encouraging humility and discernment about appropriate means.
The narrator describes a renewed attempt to hoist something heavy or formidable; it rises impressively—likened to Indra’s rainbow—yet Bhīma, despite his famed power, still cannot fully lift it.
