Bhīma–Hanūmān Dialogue on Yugas (युगवर्णनम्)
रामपत्नीकृते येन शतयोजनविस्तृत: । सागर: प्लवगेन्द्रेण क्रमेणैकेन लड्घित:,वे वानरश्रेष्ठ हनुमान् श्रीरामचन्द्रजीकी पत्नी सीताजीकी खोज करनेके लिये सौ योजन विस्तृत समुद्रको एक ही छलाँगमें लाँध गये थे
rāmapatnīkṛte yena śatayojanavistṛtaḥ | sāgaraḥ plavagendreṇa krameṇaikena laṅghitaḥ ||
Bhima said: “He who, for the sake of Rama’s wife, leapt in a single bound across the ocean that stretches a hundred yojanas—O best of monkeys, that was Hanuman.”
भीम उवाच
True greatness is shown in selfless service and courage directed toward a righteous purpose—here, Hanuman’s extraordinary strength is framed as devotion and duty in the service of Sita and Rama.
Bhima identifies and praises Hanuman by recalling the famous deed from the Ramayana: Hanuman crossed the vast ocean in a single leap while searching for Sita, thereby highlighting Hanuman’s power and devotion.
