Bhīmasena–Hanūmān Saṃvāda: The Tail Test and the Divine Path

vinā siddhagatiṁ vīra gatir atra na vidyate | devalokasya mārgo ’yam agamyo mānuṣaiḥ sadā ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O hero, apart from those who have attained the perfected path, no one has any passage here. This is the road to the world of the gods, and it remains forever inaccessible to ordinary human beings.”

Educational Q&A

Access to higher, divine realms is not achieved by mere human effort or status; it requires siddhi—spiritual perfection attained through disciplined practice and purity. The verse underscores ethical-spiritual qualification over worldly identity.

Vaiśampāyana explains to an addressed ‘hero’ that the route being discussed is a divine path leading to Devaloka, and that ordinary humans cannot traverse it; only perfected beings (Siddhas) have the capacity to proceed.
