द्रौपदीका भीमसेनको सौगन्धिक पुष्प भेंट करके वैसे ही और पुष्प लानेका आग्रह ततः पूर्वोत्तरे वायु: प्लवमानो यदृच्छया । सहस्रपत्रमर्काभं दिव्यं पद्ममुपाहरत्‌,तदनन्तर ईशानकोणकी ओरसे अकस्मात्‌ वायु चली। उसने सूर्यके समान तेजस्वी एक दिव्य सहस्रदल कमल लाकर वहाँ डाल दिया

Transliteration

tataḥ pūrvottare vāyuḥ plavamāno yadṛcchayā | sahasrapatram arkābhaṃ divyaṃ padmam upāharat ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Then, by chance, a wind drifting from the northeast brought and set down there a divine lotus of a thousand petals, radiant like the sun.
