Raibhya-putrayoḥ satra-vṛttāntaḥ — The Satra Episode of Raibhya’s Sons
Parāvasu and Arvāvasu

Lomaśa said: “O King, by that deed of Ārvāvasu the gods became pleased. The Sun and the other deities were satisfied with him. They had Ārvāvasu chosen in the sacrifice and caused Parāvasu to be driven out. Thereafter Agni, Sūrya, and the other gods expressed their wish to grant him a boon.”

Right action performed in a sacred and ethical spirit wins moral legitimacy and divine support; conversely, wrongdoing or unfitness can lead to exclusion even from revered institutions like a yajña.
Lomaśa narrates that Ārvāvasu’s deed pleased the gods; they ensured he was chosen/recognized in the sacrifice and had Parāvasu removed, after which the gods (Agni, Sūrya, etc.) wished to grant Ārvāvasu a boon.
