Thus ends the one hundred and thirty-fifth chapter of the Mahābhārata’s Vana Parva, within the Tīrtha-yātrā Parva, in the context of Lomāśa’s pilgrimage—dealing with the episode (upākhyāna) of Yavakrīta.

This line functions as a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it signals the completion of a chapter and situates the Yavakrīta episode within Lomāśa’s pilgrimage narration. Its ethical value is structural—reminding the reader that embedded tales (upākhyānas) are used to illuminate dharma within a larger journey narrative.
The text formally closes the chapter: within the Vana Parva’s Tīrtha-yātrā section, Lomāśa’s pilgrimage context has just presented the Yavakrīta upākhyāna, and this statement marks that the 135th chapter has ended.
