Arrogance, Boons, and Nimitta

एष रैभ्यो महावीर्य: पुत्रो चास्य तथाविधौ । त॑ यथा पुत्र नाभ्येषि तथा कुर्यास्त्वतन्द्रित:,ये रैभ्यमुनि महान्‌ शक्तिशाली हैं। इनके दोनों पुत्र भी इन्हींके समान हैं। बेटा! तुम उन रैभ्यमुनिके पास कदापि न जाना और आलस्य छोड़कर इसके लिये सदा प्रयत्नशील रहना

Transliteration

eṣa raibhyo mahāvīryaḥ putro cāsya tathāvidhau | taṁ yathā putra nābhyeṣi tathā kuryāstv atandritaḥ ||

Translation

Bharadvāja said: “This Raibhya is a man of great power, and his sons too are of the same formidable kind. Therefore, my son, do not go near the sage Raibhya; remain vigilant and, casting off indolence, strive constantly to act in a way that keeps you away from him.”
