Lomaśa–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue

तस्मात्‌ त्वमत्र राजेन्द्र भ्रातृभि: सहितो<च्युत । उपस्पृश्य महीपाल धूतपाप्मा भविष्यसि,अतः राजेन्द्र! तुम भाइयोंसहित इसमें स्त्रान करके सब पापोंसे मुक्त हो जाओगे

tasmāt tvam atra rājendra bhrātṛbhiḥ sahito 'cyuta | upaspṛśya mahīpāla dhūtapāpmā bhaviṣyasi ||

Therefore, O king of kings, O unfallen one—here, together with your brothers, perform the purificatory bathing. O protector of the earth, by touching the sacred water and cleansing yourself, you will become free of sin.

Educational Q&A
