kadācit tu tathaivāsya viniṣkrāntāḥ sutāḥ prabho | athānūpapatiḥ vīraḥ kārtavīryo 'bhyavartata, yudhiṣṭhira |
Akṛtavraṇa said: “Once, O lord, it happened just so—his sons had all gone out. At that very time the heroic ruler of Anūpa, Kārtavīrya (Arjuna), came there, O Yudhiṣṭhira.”
अकृतव्रण उवाच
The verse highlights how decisive encounters often arise from ordinary circumstances and timing; in epic ethics, vigilance and responsibility in household and kingship matter because a single moment can precipitate major consequences.
Akṛtavraṇa narrates to Yudhiṣṭhira that on one occasion, when the sons had gone out, the heroic king Kārtavīrya Arjuna of Anūpa arrived there—setting the stage for the next development in the story.
