Ṛśyaśṛṅgopākhyāna-praveśaḥ — Lomāśa narrates the origins of Ṛśyaśṛṅga and the Anga drought (ऋश्यशृङ्गोपाख्यान-प्रवेशः)

इहाप्लुतानां कौन्तेय सद्यः पाप्माभिहन्यते । कुरुश्रेष्ठाभिषेकं॑ वै तस्मात्‌ कुरु सहानुज:,कुन्तीनन्दन! इस तीर्थमें गोता लगानेवाले मानवोंका सारा पाप तत्काल नष्ट हो जाता है। अतः कुरुश्रेष्ठी तुम अपने भाइयोंके साथ यहाँ स्नान करो

ihāplutānāṃ kaunteya sadyaḥ pāpmābhihanyate | kuruśreṣṭhābhiṣekaṃ vai tasmāt kuru sahānujaiḥ ||

Lomasha said: “O son of Kuntī, for those who bathe here, sin is destroyed at once. Therefore, O best of the Kurus, perform the sacred bathing rite here together with your younger brothers.”
