सगरोपाख्यानम् — कपिलकोपः, अंशुमतः विनयः, तथा भगीरथपरम्परा

पितामहवच: श्रुत्वा सर्वे विबुधसत्तमा: । कालयोगें प्रतीक्षन्तो जग्मुश्नापि यथागतम्‌,ब्रह्माजीकी यह बात सुनकर सम्पूर्ण श्रेष्ठ देवता अवसरकी प्रतीक्षा करते हुए जैसे आये थे, वैसे ही चले गये

pitāmahavacaḥ śrutvā sarve vibudhasattamāḥ | kālayogena pratīkṣanto jagmuś cāpi yathāgatam ||

Having heard the words of the Grandsire (Brahmā), all the foremost among the gods, waiting for the proper conjunction of time and circumstance, departed—returning just as they had come.
