Narada said: “With no small effort, Viśvakarman constructed it—yet it was first conceived by Maya through the power of his mind. This city, born of that mental design and realized through great craftsmanship, lies established in the subterranean realm of Pātāla.”
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights how extraordinary works arise from both inner conception (manas/saṅkalpa) and sustained effort (prayatna). Mental design alone is incomplete without disciplined execution, and even great craftsmanship is guided by intention.
Nārada describes a wondrous city in Pātāla: it was mentally conceived by Maya and then constructed with great effort by Viśvakarman, emphasizing its marvel and the collaboration of design and building.
