कण्वोपदेशः—नश्वरबलविवेकः तथा मातलिगुणकेश्याः आख्यानारम्भः

स्वपन्ति च प्लवन्ते च छर्दयन्ति च मानवा: । मूत्रयन्ते च सततं रुदन्ति च हसन्ति च,इन अस्त्रोंके प्रयोगसे कुछ लोग उन्मत्त हो जाते हैं और वैसी ही चेष्टाएँ करने लगते हैं। कितनोंको सुध-बुध नहीं रह जाती, वे अचेत हो जाते हैं। कई मनुष्य सोने लगते हैं। कुछ उछलते-कूदते और छींकते हैं। कितने ही मल-मूत्र करने लग जाते हैं और कुछ लोग निरंतर रोते-हँसते रहते हैं
svapanti ca plavante ca chardayanti ca mānavāḥ | mūtrayante ca satataṃ rudanti ca hasanti ca ||
Rāma said: Under the impact of such weapon-operations, people lose their normal awareness and behave in distorted ways—some fall asleep, some leap about, some vomit; some continually pass urine, while others keep weeping and laughing without control. The scene underscores how the misuse of force can shatter human composure and dignity, turning persons into helpless victims of violence rather than responsible moral agents.
