Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel to Dhṛtarāṣṭra in the Assembly

अलसीके फूलकी भाँति मनोहर श्याम कान्तिवाले पीताम्बरधारी श्रीकृष्ण उस सभाके मध्यभागमें स्वर्ण-पात्रमें रखी हुई नीलमणिके समान शोभा पा रहे थे ।। ततस्तृष्णीं सर्वमासीद्‌ गोविन्दगतमानसम्‌ | न तत्र कश्चित्‌ किज्चिद्‌ वा व्याजहार पुमान्‌ क्वचित्‌,उस समय वहाँ सबका मन भगवान्‌ गोविन्दमें ही लगा हुआ था। अतः सभी चुपचाप बैठे थे। कोई मनुष्य कहीं कुछ भी बोल नहीं रहा था

tatas tṛṣṇīṁ sarvam āsīd govinda-gata-mānasam | na tatra kaścit kiñcid vā vyājahāra pumān kvacit ||

Then everything fell silent, for the minds of all present were absorbed in Govinda. In that assembly no person, anywhere, spoke even a single word—such was the stillness born of reverence and inward attention.
