ततः सा समिति: सर्वा राज्ञाममिततेजसाम् | सम्प्राकम्पत हर्षेण कृष्णागमनकाड्क्षया,तत्पश्चात् अमिततेजस्वी राजाओंकी वह सारी सभा भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके शुभागमनकी आकांक्षाके कारण हर्षोल्लाससे चंचल हो उठी
tataḥ sā samitiḥ sarvā rājñām amitatejasām | samprākampata harṣeṇa kṛṣṇāgamanakāṅkṣayā ||
Then that entire assembly of kings, men of immeasurable splendor, began to tremble and stir with joy, filled with eager expectation for the auspicious arrival of Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The scene underscores how the presence of a righteous mediator can awaken hope and restraint even amid looming conflict.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the moral force of a dharmic presence: Kṛṣṇa’s expected arrival generates collective joy and movement in the royal assembly, suggesting that wise, righteous mediation can soften hostility and reorient leaders toward restraint and right counsel.
Vaiśampāyana describes the royal council becoming visibly stirred—almost trembling—with excitement because they are eagerly awaiting Kṛṣṇa’s auspicious arrival, anticipating his role in the unfolding negotiations before war.
