मध्ये तिष्ठन्‌ हस्त्यनीकस्य मन्दो रथाश्वयुक्तस्य बलस्य मूढ: । दुर्योधनो मनन्‍्यते वीतभीति: कृत्स्ना मयेयं पृथिवी जितेति,'रथियों और घुड़सवारोंसे युक्त हाथियोंकी सेनाके बीचमें खड़ा होकर भयसे रहित हुआ मन्दबुद्धि मूढ़ दुर्योधन यह समझता है कि यह सारी पृथ्वी मैंने जीत ली

Transliteration

madhye tiṣṭhan hastyanīkasya mando rathāśvayuktasya balasya mūḍhaḥ | duryodhano manyate vītabhītiḥ kṛtsnā mayeyaṃ pṛthivī jiteti ||

Translation

Standing in the midst of the elephant-corps—an army furnished with charioteers and horsemen—the dull-witted, deluded Duryodhana, now free from fear, imagines: “This entire earth has been conquered by me.”
