विदुरस्य कृष्णं प्रति शमोपदेशः

Vidura’s Counsel to Krishna on the Limits of Peace

तत्र राजसहसैश्न कुरुभिश्चाभिसंवृतम्‌

tatra rājasahasraiś ca kurubhiś cābhisaṃvṛtam

There, the place was thronged—enclosed on all sides—by thousands of kings and by the Kurus, marking a great political assembly where power, alliance, and the looming question of rightful conduct under dharma were being weighed in public.
