कुरुसभायां केशवागमन-सत्कारविधानम् / Preparations to Honor Keśava at the Kuru Court
तेडभिगम्य महात्मानं हृषीकेशमरिंदमम् | पूजां चक्कुर्यथान्यायमाशीर्मज्जलसंयुताम्
teḍabhigamya mahātmānaṃ hṛṣīkeśam ariṃdamam | pūjāṃ cakkur yathānyāyam āśīr majjala-saṃyutām ||
Approaching the great-souled Hṛṣīkeśa, the subduer of foes, they offered him due worship according to proper custom, accompanied by blessings and the respectful offering of water.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even amid political tension, dharma is upheld through proper conduct: honoring a worthy guest with prescribed respect, blessings, and water symbolizes self-restraint, civility, and recognition of moral order.
A group approaches Kṛṣṇa (Hṛṣīkeśa) and receives him formally, performing customary worship and respectful hospitality rites, including benedictions and the offering of water.
