so ’vatīrya rathāt tūṛṇam abhivādya janārdanaḥ | yathāvṛttān ṛṣīn sarvān abhyabhāṣata pūjayan ||
Then Janārdana (Śrī Kṛṣṇa) quickly descended from his chariot. Bowing to all the sages who were standing as before, he addressed them with words of reverence, honoring them in accordance with what had occurred—modeling humility and due respect toward spiritual authority even amid political and martial tensions.
Even a supreme leader like Kṛṣṇa exemplifies dharma through humility: promptly dismounting, offering respectful salutations, and honoring sages. The verse underscores that ethical conduct includes reverence toward spiritual wisdom and proper social decorum, especially in moments charged with political or martial consequence.
Kṛṣṇa arrives by chariot, immediately gets down, salutes the assembled sages who are standing as previously described, and then addresses them respectfully—signaling deference and seeking/acknowledging their counsel.
