अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)

क्षमा दमश्न सत्यं च अहिंसा च युधिष्छिर । अद्भुतश्न पुनर्लोकस्त्वयि राजन्‌ प्रतिष्ठित:,“राजा युधिष्ठिर! क्षमा, इन्द्रियसंयम, सत्य, अहिंसा तथा अद्भुत लोक--ये सब तुममें प्रतिष्ठित हैं

kṣamā damaś ca satyaṃ ca ahiṃsā ca yudhiṣṭhira | adbhutaś ca punar lokas tvayi rājan pratiṣṭhitaḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “O Yudhiṣṭhira, O king—patience (forbearance), self-restraint, truthfulness, and non-violence are firmly established in you; and, moreover, a wondrous moral world seems to stand supported upon you.”
