ये तत्रासन्‌ समानीतास्ते दृष्टवा त्वामनागसम्‌ । अश्रुकण्ठा रुदन्तश्न॒ सभायामासते तदा

Transliteration

ye tatrāsan samānītās te dṛṣṭvā tvām anāgasam | aśrukaṇṭhā rudantaś ca sabhāyām āsate tadā ||

Translation

Those who had been brought there, on seeing you—blameless and undeserving of such treatment—were choked with tears. Weeping, they sat in the assembly then, overcome by grief and moral distress at the injustice before them.
