Udyoga Parva, Adhyāya 72 — Bhīmasena’s counsel on conciliation and Duryodhana’s disposition

kālena mahatā caiṣāṁ bhaviṣyati parābhavaḥ | prakṛtiṁ te bhajiṣyanti naṣṭa-prakṛtayo mayi ||

Yudhiṣṭhira said: “In the course of time, and after a long while, a great downfall will surely come upon them. Their native disposition—courage, vigor, and the like—will be broken; bereft of their true nature, they will finally return to their own condition and meet their end in my very presence.”
