Sanjaya said: “Whatever kings are there, gathered on that side under Dhritarashtra’s banner—those rulers will come together for battle, in a fierce encounter crowded with weapons.”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores how political alignment and collective ambition can propel rulers toward an unavoidable, weapon-filled conflict; it implicitly warns that once many powers are bound to a cause, escalation toward war becomes difficult to restrain, raising the ethical stakes of leadership and counsel.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the kings supporting him (the Kaurava side) are gathered and will converge for a fierce battle, emphasizing the scale and intensity of the impending war.
