Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 50 — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Bhīmasena (भीमसेनभयवर्णनम्)

आर्यव्रतं तु जानन्त: संगरान्तं विधित्सव: । सेनामुखेषु स्थास्यन्ति मामकानां नरर्षभा:,तथापि ये नरश्रेष्ठ शिष्ट पुरुषोंके व्रतको जानते हैं, इसलिये युद्धमें प्राणत्याग करनेकी इच्छासे मेरे पुत्रोंकी सेनाके अग्रभागमें डटे रहेंगे

āryavrataṃ tu jānantaḥ saṅgarāntaṃ vidhitsavaḥ | senāmukheṣu sthāsyanti māmakānāṃ nararṣabhāḥ ||

Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: “Those bull-like men, knowing the noble code of conduct and longing to meet their end in battle, will stand firm at the very front of my sons’ army.”
