Therefore, venerable one, send today a message that will accomplish the Pāṇḍavas’ purpose. Whatever message you choose to dispatch will stand as the settled and unanimous resolve of us all.

Ethically, the verse stresses responsible counsel: a message should be sent with the explicit aim of securing a just outcome (the Pāṇḍavas’ rightful interest), and once entrusted, the envoy’s words carry the weight of collective, settled resolve—so speech must be deliberate, aligned with dharma, and oriented toward rightful ends.
Vāyudeva urges an honored figure to dispatch, immediately, a message favorable to the Pāṇḍavas’ cause. He adds that whatever message is sent will be treated as the unanimous, fixed decision of all present, indicating a formal delegation of authority in counsel and diplomacy during the preparations leading toward the great conflict.
