Sañjaya said: “Duryodhana, the son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra, even cherishes the hope of conquering Viṣṇu—Śrī Kṛṣṇa of limitless valor. That wicked-minded man is forever plotting harm against Him; yet the Lord, looking upon us, continues to endure even this offense.”

The verse highlights the moral blindness of arrogance: Duryodhana imagines he can defeat the divine and continually plots wrongdoing. In contrast, Kṛṣṇa’s restraint and patience show divine forbearance—power governed by dharma rather than impulsive retaliation.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Duryodhana still hopes to overcome Kṛṣṇa and keeps devising harmful plans. Despite this, Kṛṣṇa tolerates the offense, mindful of the wider situation and the people involved.
