Sañjaya said: “Let those kings who have been assembled for battle against the Pāṇḍavas also hear. In the very manner in which I have spoken the entire message, you should cause that king (Duryodhana) to hear it, together with his ministers.”

Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes responsible transmission of counsel: a message concerning war and policy should be delivered fully, accurately, and in the hearing of relevant stakeholders (the king and his ministers, and even allied kings), underscoring accountability and the ethical weight of public speech in governance.

Sanjaya reports instructions about how a complete statement is to be announced before the Kaurava leadership. The setting is the Udyoga Parva’s pre-war diplomacy, where messages are formally conveyed to Duryodhana in the presence of his ministers and the assembled allied rulers.
