Sanjaya said: “As Ajātaśatru (King Yudhiṣṭhira) believes, our purpose will indeed be accomplished in the subduing of the hostile; and Janārdana (Kṛṣṇa), the lion among the Vṛṣṇis, whose knowledge is direct and immediate, also sees no doubt that this resolve will succeed.”

The verse highlights steadfast resolve guided by dharma and validated by higher insight: Yudhiṣṭhira’s confidence in a just objective is reinforced by Kṛṣṇa’s direct, doubt-free discernment, suggesting that ethical purpose and clear wisdom remove hesitation in critical action.
Sanjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Yudhiṣṭhira expects success in restraining the hostile, and that Kṛṣṇa—renowned for direct knowledge—also foresees no uncertainty about the fulfillment of this plan.
