Sanatsujāta on the Imperceptible Eternal Light (यत्तच्छुक्रं महज्ज्योतिः)

cakre rathasya tiṣṭhanto dhruvasyāvyayakarmaṇaḥ | ketumantaṃ vahanty aśvās taṃ divyam ajaraṃ divi | yoginas taṃ prapaśyanti bhagavantaṃ sanātanam ||

Sanatsujāta said: As the wheel of a chariot turns while its axle remains steady, so the senses—like horses yoked to the mind—carry the bannered chariot onward, while the imperishable agent of action remains unmoved. That divine, undecaying One, abiding in the heavenly realm, is beheld directly by yogins as the eternal Lord. The teaching points to inner discipline: when the mind and senses are rightly harnessed, one comes to the vision of the timeless Reality beyond the perishing body and its motions.
