Sanatsujāta said: “O King, that pure Brahman is a vast, radiant Light—self-luminous and of great glory. The gods worship That alone; by Its splendor the sun itself shines forth. The yogins behold that eternal Lord directly.”
सनत्सुजात उवाच
The verse teaches that the Supreme Reality (pure Brahman) is self-luminous and the ultimate source of all brilliance and glory; even the sun shines by Its power. True yogins can directly realize this eternal Lord through inner vision and disciplined contemplation.
In the Sanatsujātīya section of Udyoga Parva, the sage Sanatsujāta instructs the king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) on the highest spiritual truth. Here he begins by describing Brahman as the supreme light worshipped by the gods and directly perceived by yogins.
