एकैकमेते राजेन्द्र मनुष्यान्‌ पर्युपासते । यैराविष्टो नर: पाप॑ मूढसंज्ञो व्यवस्यति,राजेन्द्र! क्रमशः एकके पीछे दूसरा आकर ये सभी दोष मनुष्योंको प्राप्त होते जाते हैं, जिनके वशमें होकर मूढ़बुद्धि मानव पापकर्म करने लगता है

ekaikametē rājendra manuṣyān paryupāsate | yair āviṣṭo naraḥ pāpaṁ mūḍhasaṁjño vyavasyati ||

O king, these faults attend upon human beings one by one, in succession. When a man is seized by them, his understanding becomes deluded, and he resolves upon sinful action.
