अष्टी नृपेमानि मनुष्यलोके स्वर्गस्थ लोकस्य निदर्शनानि । चत्वार्येषामन्ववेतानि सद्धि- श्वृत्वारि चैषामनुयान्ति सन््तः,राजन! मनुष्यलोकमें ये आठ गुण स्वर्गलोकका दर्शन करानेवाले हैं; इनमेंसे चार तो संतोंके साथ नित्य सम्बद्ध हैं--उनमें सदा विद्यमान रहते हैं और चारका सज्जन पुरुष अनुसरण करते हैं

Vidura said: “O King, in the human world there are eight qualities that serve as clear signs pointing toward the heavenly state. Of these, four are inseparably present in the company of the good—ever abiding with them—and four others are those which virtuous people consciously follow and practice.”
