Ambā’s Vow of Tapas after Paraśurāma’s Assessment (अम्बाया तपोव्रतनिश्चयः)
ख्यापयामास राजेन्द्र पुत्रो होष ममेति वै । राजेन्द्र! तब पुत्रहीन राजा ट्रुपदकी मनस्विनी रानीने यह घोषणा करा दी कि यह मेरा पुत्र है
khyāpayāmāsa rājendra putro hoṣa mameti vai | rājendra! tadā putrahīno rājā drupadasya manasvinī rājñīneyaṃ ghoṣaṇāṃ kṛtavatī—"eṣa mama putraḥ" iti |
Bhishma said: “O king, she caused it to be proclaimed, ‘This is my son.’ O best of kings, since King Drupada was without a son, his resolute queen publicly announced, ‘This is my son,’ thereby securing an heir and safeguarding the continuity of the royal line.”
भीष्म उवाच
