Ambā’s Vow of Tapas after Paraśurāma’s Assessment (अम्बाया तपोव्रतनिश्चयः)
ततो दधार सा देवी गर्भ राजीवलोचना । तदनन्तर ट्रुपदराजकी मनस्विनी पत्नीने नियमपूर्वक रहकर ट्रुपदके साथ संयोग किया। शास्त्रीय विधिसे गर्भाधान-संस्कार होनेपर यथासमय उसने गर्भ धारण किया। राजन! जैसा कि मुझसे नारदजीने कहा था। ट्रुपदकी कमलनयनी रानीने इसी प्रकार गर्भ धारण किया ।।
tato dadhāra sā devī garbhaṁ rājīvalocanā | tāṁ sa rājā priyāṁ bhāryāṁ drupadaḥ kurunandana |
Bhīṣma said: Then that goddess-like queen, lotus-eyed, conceived. O joy of the Kurus, King Drupada, out of affection for the son to be born, kept his beloved wife in great comfort and honored her; whatever she desired was provided before her.
