वैशम्पायन उवाच ततो गज्जा सुतस्नेहाद भीष्म॑ पुनरुपागमत्‌ | नचास्याश्चाकरोद्‌ वाक्यं क्रोधपर्याकुलेक्षण:

Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca—tato Gaṅgā sutasnehād Bhīṣmaṃ punar upāgamat | na cāsyāś cākarod vākyaṃ krodha-paryākulekṣaṇaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: Then Gaṅgā, moved by motherly affection for her son, came again to Bhīṣma. But Bhīṣma—his eyes clouded and agitated by anger—did not comply with her words.
