अपन < बक। है २ >> सप्तसप्तत्याधिेकशततमो< ध्याय: अकृतव्रण और परशुरामजीकी अम्बासे बातचीत अकृतव्रण उवाच दुःखद्वयमिदं भद्गरे कतरस्य चिकीर्षसि । प्रतिकर्तव्यमबले तत्‌ त्वं वत्से वदस्व मे,अकृतब्रणने कहा--भट्रे! तुम्हें दुःख देनेवाले दो कारण (भीष्म और शाल्व) उपस्थित हैं। वत्से! तुम इन दोनोंमेंसे किससे बदला लेनेकी इच्छा रखती हो? यह मुझे बताओ

Akṛtavraṇa uvāca: duḥkhadvayam idaṃ bhadre katarasya cikīrṣasi | pratikartavyam abale tat tvaṃ vatse vadasva me ||

Akṛtavraṇa said: “O noble lady, two sources of grief confront you. Against which of the two do you wish to seek redress? O helpless one, dear child—tell me whom you intend to answer, so that the response may be directed rightly.”
