सा त्वेनमब्रवीद्‌ राजन्‌ क्रियतां मदनुग्रह: । प्राव्राज्यमहमिच्छामि तपस्तप्स्यामि दुश्चरम्‌,राजन! तब अम्बाने उनसे कहा--'भगवन्‌! मुझपर अनुग्रह कीजिये। मैं संन्यासियोंका-सा धर्म पालन करना चाहती हूँ। यहाँ रहकर दुष्कर तपस्या करूँगी

sā tvenam abravīd rājan kriyatāṁ mad-anugrahaḥ | prāvrājyam aham icchāmi tapas tapsyāmi duścaram ||

She then said to him, “O King, grant me your favor. I wish to embrace the life of renunciation; I will undertake severe, difficult austerities.”
