साहमामन्त्र्य गाड़ेयं समरेष्वनिवर्तिनम् । अनुज्ञाता च तेनैव ततो5हं भूशमागता,'युद्धमोें कभी पीठ न दिखानेवाले गंगानन्दन भीष्मसे पूछकर, उनकी आज्ञा लेकर अत्यन्त उत्कण्ठाके साथ मैं यहाँ आयी हूँ
sāham āmantrya gāṅgeyaṃ samareṣv anivartinam | anujñātā ca tenaiva tato ’haṃ bhūśam āgatā ||
Having approached and addressed Bhishma, the son of the Gaṅgā—one who never turns back in battle—I received his permission; and with that very consent, I have come here with intense eagerness.
