एतस्य समर दृष्टवा न व्यथास्ति कथज्चन । उत्स्मयन्नुत्पतत्येष परान् रथपथे स्थितान्
etasya samare dṛṣṭvā na vyathāsti kathañcana | utsmayann utpataty eṣa parān rathapathe sthitān ||
Bhīṣma said: “Seeing him in the thick of battle, there is no trembling in him at all. Smiling, he springs forward upon the foes who stand arrayed on the chariot-path.”
