महासुरो हत: शक्र नमुचिर्दारुणस्त्वया | शम्बरश्न बलश्नैव तथोभौ घोरविक्रमौ,“इन्द्र! आपने अत्यन्त भयंकर नमुचि नामक महान् असुरको मार गिराया है। शम्बर और बल दोनों भयंकर पराक्रमी दानव थे; परंतु उन्हें भी आपने मार डाला
mahāsuro hataḥ śakra namucirdāruṇastvayā | śambaraś ca balaś caiva tathobhau ghoravikramau ||
Śalya said: “O Śakra (Indra), you have slain the mighty asura Namuci, fierce and dreadful. And Śambara and Bala too—both terrible in valor—were likewise killed by you.”
