लोहाभिसारो निर्वेत्त: कुरुक्षेत्रमकर्दमम् । पुष्टास्तेडश्वा भूता योधा: श्वो युद्धयस्व सकेशव:,“अब लोहमय अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकोी बाहर निकालकर तैयार करनेका कार्य पूरा हो चुका है। कुरुक्षेत्रक्री कीच भी सूख गयी है। तुम्हारे घोड़े खूब हृष्ट-पुष्ट हैं और सैनिकोंका भी तुमने अच्छी तरह भरण-पोषण किया है; अतः कल सबेरेसे ही श्रीकृष्णके साथ आकर युद्ध करो
sañjaya uvāca | lohābhisāro nirvṛttaḥ kurukṣetram akardamam | puṣṭās te 'śvā bhūtā yodhāḥ śvo yudhyasva sa-keśavaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: “The preparations of iron—arms and weapons—have been completed. Kurukṣetra is now free of mire, the ground having dried. Your horses are well-fed and strong, and the warriors have been properly maintained. Therefore, come at dawn tomorrow with Kṛṣṇa at your side and engage in battle.”
