विदित: पाण्डवेयानां वासुदेवप्रियेप्सया

Transliteration

viditaḥ pāṇḍaveyānāṃ vāsudevapriyepṣayā

Translation

Vaiśampāyana said: It became known among the sons of Pāṇḍu, through their desire to win the favor of Vāsudeva, (that a certain course of action was to be pursued).
