Hearing the words of Dharmarāja, Arjuna—renowned as Savyasācī and a scorcher of foes—recounted to him the very message that Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) had spoken.
वैशग्पायन उवाच
Righteous decision-making (dharma) should be informed by wise counsel: Arjuna transmits Kṛṣṇa’s guidance to Dharmarāja, emphasizing that ethical leadership relies on hearing and weighing authoritative, dharmic advice before acting.
After listening to Dharmarāja’s statement, Arjuna reports back to him the words previously spoken by Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva), functioning as a messenger of counsel during the tense preparations and negotiations preceding the great conflict.
